Help for my possible IBSFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 28 Sep 2003 05:10:20 -0500 (CDT)
Hi i am 18 year old college student. I had my gallbladder removed when I was 16. about 4-6 months after that I started having problems with my digestive system. See every time I ate something I would have diarreah about 30 minutes afterwards. I would stop eating at school because i was worried that I couldn't make it to the restroom in time. When i talked to my doctor he said I needed to cut out all fatty and greasy foods. Well i did but that did not help at all if anyhting it would make me constipated for about two weeks (4 total bowel movements) and then I would have diarreah for about a week. Along with the diarreah and constipation, when I ate my stomach would make loud noises, which other people could hear. Also sometimes when I eat something it will make me double over in pain and I can only lay in bed. Do you think this is IBS and if so this there something that can elleviate the symptoms?
