I have not had a period since August 2002. I had my gallbladder removed when I was 16. One month later(November 2001) I had my first period. Since my first period I have had 3 periods. One in April that lasted 3 days, one in May that last 3 days, and my last period was in August and it lasted 4 days. I don't know what caused my periods to stop seeing as I was overweight when I had my first period. I dont have access to a doctor to get checked out because I am away at college. I recently asked someone what i should do about my problem and they said I should go on birth control??? That doesn't seem logical to me however. Some advice would be very appreciated. Thanks.
