Ann,

Skipping your period on triphasic pills such as ortho tricyclen does not work well because of the differing amount of hormones in each weeks pills. Being on a low dose pill doesn't help either. Your chances of getting pregnant are very low, probably less of a chance on continuous pills but your chance of break-through bleeding is high, especially since you have already experienced it. If you want to skip your period on birth control pills check into getting a mono-phasic pill. Not a doc, good luck.
