Alexandra, If you search the archives on this forum and the women's health forum you will find a lot of information on this. Skipping your period by not taking the placebo pills is OK, it will not cause any harm. Monophasic pills work best for this, triphasic pills such as Ortho Tricyclen and low dosage pills do not work as well. There is always a chance for breakthrough bleeding, it is more common with the triphasics and the low dosage pills. Hope this helps.
