irregular periods and fertilityFrom: annonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 16 Sep 2003 19:31:23 -0500 (CDT)
I am 28 years old and went off of birth control pills in July 2003. I had a normal cycle until April 2004. At this time my husband and I began trying to conceive. I have not gotten a period on my own since April. I am not pregnant(both home test and doctors blood test were negative. In June my doctor perscribed Progesterone and after 10 days of 10mg. I got a period. Then nothing for 2 months again. Again I got the same perscription, but this time no period and it has been 10 days since the RX ended. My doctor mentioned a "dye test"? Is it possible my cycles became irregular from being on birth control pills for 6 years? It seems strange this all began when we started "trying", could it be stress? I really am trying to understand why this is happening all of a sudden. Also, I am in decent health and my doctor did tests on four different hormones and thyroid which were all fine. In addition I have had extreme bloating/feeling of pressure in my abdomen and some discomfort during intercourse.
