Abnormal period/Vaginal implication?

Im 17 and I have been experiencing abnormal periods for the last two months that I've had my period on the two occasions. I've noticed my periods have been shorter (from 7 days to 5 days) and that the blood when dried on the pad turns out like red small gel-like clots when observed inside cotton of the pad. They are not moist but strangely dried up individual clots. THe periods are not heavy as per usual during the first couple of days, but instead, very light. As shameful as I'd like to admit, and underage to conduct such a practice, the last time I've experienced sexual activity was last mid september and the sex was unprotected. He claimed that he had checked himself out with a doctor with any signs of STDs but at that time, I overlooked it, so i'm not sure if what he said was false said and false done. After the activity, I also did not get myself checked out because I have been too afraid. However, 9 months after the activity, together with the abnormal period, I've also began to experience vaginal itching and my vaginal discharge has a smell and is quite damp and sticky. I am quite distraught because of these implications that has occured to me now that I should have been aware of if I had the right frame of mind at the time. Does the sexual activity in the past have anything to do with these implications with my period and vagina? What does this mean for me and looking at the bigger picture, do I have any possibilities of being infertile or contracting STDs? Thank you so much for listening and if you could help, that would be great.
