PCOS is not proven as genetic but more and more evidence shows it can be. There has been recognized a strong link between siblings (female siblings) and PCOS, so if you develop some symptoms you may want to get checked out with a PCOS_friendly doctor (call around and ask if the doctors in your area are familiar) so that you can get it in check early.
