No, not at all, it wouldn't affect your chances of having kids. Now, when you are not having your period, your vagina is drier, so you might irritate the tissues some pulling a dry tampon out. You'll find out once you do get your period, that it's a lot easier to insert and remove a tampon during your period, 'cause the moisture lubricates the cotton.

And no, doing it because you like it is NOT bad.
