The green pills are pills without hormones, they are a "reminder" for you. You don't have to take them, but if you don't it makes it harder to remember when to start the white pills again. If you skip the green pills and just keep taking white ones, then you won't have a period and that really messes you up. So it would be a good idea to just take them and finish up the whole pack.
