I remember trying to use tampons for the first time and I tried putting it in the wrong hole..ouch.Anyways, usually they slide in fairly easily if you are bleeding moderately. I always have a hard time putting them in at the beginning and ending of my period because there isn't enough liquid. Try standing up and slightly squatting, spread your legs far apart, relax your muscles and slowly slide it in. That's all I can tell you.
