Abnormaly Painful periodsFrom: Dia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Aug 2003 10:36:19 -0500 (CDT)
Endrometreosis runs in my family and I have the same pain my mom had when she was my age and she had endrometreosis until she had surgery and a historectomy. My problem is my last menstrual period I had a lot of pressure in my uterus and it felt like some one was taking a spoon and scooping the sides of my uterus. This was accompanied by vomiting and several severe hot flashes(I'm only 19). I also was bleeding very lightly and it was of a light pink color. All of these are unusual for me I normally bleed heavy and a dark color. All of this resulted in going to the ER and getting a pain shot. The doctors didn't examine me or even treat me what so ever so I dont know if that was a miscarriage or a sign of endrometreosis. Which I was informed by my doctor that during my pap smear he had tested me for endrometreosis; My mom informed me that you wouldnt be able to tell if I had this unless they manually went in and did exploration. So I cant get trustworthy help for this from my doctor so I am in desperate need of help about this.Thank you for any help!
