I was taking ortho cyclen for a year in june, however i had to stop taking it because i couldnt afford it again. I stopped taking otho cyclen for about 1 and a half months. I'm now taking Ortho Novum 1/35 and for the first time ever, I am having bleeding 2 weeks before my period is due. I am also having cramps along with the bleeding, as if it is a regular period. however the blood is darker than usual and slightly lighter. im sure this is only break through bleeding but is it possible to take a birth control that is too strong for me. I am only 20, and i dont want to potentially harm myself by taking these pills. am i worrying for no reason? And how long is this breakthrough bleeding going to last. Its been a week now... Thanks.
