Ovulation typically occurs 14 days before the start of your period. Sperm can live in the body for 3 or 4 days. In a 28 day cycle the days that a woman is typically most fertile is between days 10 - 20 with the first day of the period being day #1. While these are the norms variations from month to month are possible so the answer is that it is possible for a woman to get pregnant on any day including while she is having her period depending on when she ovulates but it is more likely in the middle of the cycle. Hope this helps.
