minor bleeding post fingering

I am a 24 year old female, no pregnancies, haven't had actual sex yet. I have done a little bit of fingering. Sorta embarrassing, but yes, on myself. I just had my yearly about a month or two ago. Pap-smear and everything was fine. Recently, when I've fingered myself, there has been some minor bleeding. Actually, the bleeding has been less and less each time. The first time, I spotted maybe two days, the next time only one and then the next time just a couple hours. I have sometimes put one finger into myself, the other times just massage of the clit. Is this normal? It's only been recently that this has happened. I was planning on waiting about a month (with no fingering) and seeing if it happens again. If it does, I'll go see my doc. I've always been a heavy bleeder (on birth control for that reason), will spot if I miss one pill, etc. I wasn't quite on my birth control schedule this last month and I'm hoping that might be causing this. Or maybe the fact that my period was just last week. Or maybe I scratched myself a little inside without knowing and, if I give it a chance to heal...

Is it safe to wait the month and see? Is this something I should worry about even then? It's such minor bleeding and no pain at all.

Advice much appreciated.
