Dear Anonymous,

Nothing should be too "delicate" to tell your family physician or your OB/Gyn, it is an important part of your medical history. If you can't tell your family doctor than find an OB/Gyn and make sure he knows that your husband has genital warts or HPV. It is also important for your doctor to know because you are at an increased risk of cervical cancer if you contract HPV. Yes, you can catch it from your husband, the warts are caused by the HPV virus. Even if the warts are treated the virus still remains and new outbreaks can occur. Here are some good links to find out more about HPV and genital warts.
