Previous message: Tonya: "Re: long periods" I am 23 yrs old and married. In the last 5 or 6 months I have developed a rash when using pads during my periods. I tried various brands to be sure that it was not a particular brand. I also experience alot of tenderness on the inside of my body during my periods that makes using tampons painful as well. All this goes away when the bleeding stops and my husband and I are able to have a normal sex life. I have discussed these problems with my doctor and she seems to think that nothing is wrong and that I should continue with the tampons sense the discomfort is somewhat tolerable. She didn't offer any suggestions or seem to think that any test should be run.
