Post Partum thyroiditis

I had my daughter 11 years ago. After her brith I suffered from extreme fatigue, depression and anxiety eventually leading to aggoraphobia as it went untreated. I felt I had to put up with these things as a normal symptom of having had a baby. I had suffred with extreme sickness all the way through the pregnancy which involved some time spent in hospital early on and drugs to control it. At the beginning of my pregnancy I was about 8 stone in weight, however, I put a great deal of weight on during the pregnancy, 4 stone in all, though I actually ate very little due to the sickness. For the last 11 years I have never returned to my previous energy levels or even close to them, and though my weight initially decreased by a little after I breast fed for a year, it quickly returned to more than 12 stone after I stopped. I am tired all the time, and I have trouble sleeping. I also suffer from frequent bouts of anxiety and depression. I do not over eat, but people assume that I must do so, and they also assume that I am lazy because I am always tired and need to lie down a lot. I used to be so active. I am wondering if my problem could be related to post partum thyroiditis?
