I understand that she doesn't want to go to an ob, but unless someone actually can examine her, you'll never know. It could be lots of different things. Please encourage her to see someone. Do you drive? Someone can get her there, plus there are free clinics that can help her and it's confidential, just look in the phone book under birth control-- you'll find something. It also may be an emotional problem. Is this something new? Is she afraid of something? Sometimes emotional problems can exhibit physical symptoms. Just something to think about. Good luck.
