can a speculum exam & a vaginal ultrasound hurt because of ovarian cysts? I'm 19 years old and was having major problems and finally went to a gyn to figure things out. The speculum hurt so bad, but the gyn said it was because it was my first time and I was tense. Then she did a vaginal ultrasound (which hurt terribly) and found that I have a cyst on each ovary. Could this be the cause of the pain w/ the speculum and the ultrasound. Or is the pain more likely because I'm a virgin?
