the reason why i switched over was because i thought it would be cheaper. my insurance does not cover it and mircette was too expensive. Kariva actually wound up being just about the same price as the mircette was. i am still taking the kariva this month. do you still think i have cause to be concerned? i wasn't so much worried about being pregnant, but everyone keeps putting that idea into my head. i assumed that when on birth control, you don't ovulate so there is not really much way to get pregnant. i was more concerned about having some sort of an infection since i had such a long time of breakthrough bleeding. i called my doctor and she said that sometimes that happens, but to wait until next month and then if i don't get my period, to take a pregnancy test. i don't know if i can wait that long, but i can't afford to buy a home test right now. when things like this happen, is it commonly pregnancy or infection? or do you really think it's nothing to worry about? i would hope the contraception is as effective in a generic brand. does breakthrough bleeding indicate that the contraception is not working??? please help.
