Is this an STD?

For as long as I can remember I have always had small bumps around my vagina (i'm assuming this is relatively normal)that appear to be more under the skin and rather flat, usually only noticable when stretching my skin out. Lately however, some of these bumps have become pus-filled. They do not itch, and other then these bumps, I have no other discomfort. I have had abnormal PAP results which I was told was "ascus" and have done a lot of research and ruled out certain STD's such as HPV (because these bumps are not solid and as I said are pus-filled. I know I have to go to my gyno (i have an appointment in a few weeks) but to put my mind at ease, I'm trying to figure out what this could possibly be. I know there are a few different types of infections, and I'm wondering if this is just an infection. What best fits the description of small pus-filled bumps around my vagina? Also, there is an odor. I do not think that it is hair foliciles either because it is in an area where there is no pubic hair to shave.
