I am 20 years old, and first started my period at age 12 1/2. I have had extremely irregular periods since I began. One lasted for 2 1/2 months, sometimes they are 6 months apart. I took birth control pills for about 6 months when i was 15, and then i got off of them. I became sexually active when i was 18, but stopped having sex when i was 19 1/2. Recently, my periods have been a bit more regular, like lasting between 6-9 days, and coming about every 4-8 weeks. I always have discharge between my periods, but it is normal, never spotting. For the last week, I have been experiencing spotting, but very lightly. I see traces of blood maybe twice a day. At first, I thought I was about to start my period, but it just won't come! My last period was about 4 1/2 months ago. I am also overweight, though not obese, and have been having a lot of stress from being separated from my husband. I've never had kids. I know that I'm not pregnant. What are some other things that could be wrong?
