i understand your points and respect your opinion, but you should be more open minded, especially when it comes to your health. You can go on BCP - but you must take it for one and a half cycles before it becomes reliabile. You can then have sex and then see a gyn. Hopefully your doc will let you go on it without having to go to the gyn first. Maybe if you explain your reasonings it will be fine. Going to the gyn has nothing to do with losing virginity or anything like that...it has to do with ensuring that you are healthy and that you do not have any precancerous cells (many women with these cells do not even know, and that's why it is necessary). It doesn't mean you're losing your virginity to a swab, and surely your husband will understand and i'm certain that he would probably prefer you to go than to perhaps miss something that could be detremental to your health. Furthermore, condoms can be a pain in the butt, but are the best option in birthcontrol without having to deal with a doctor. Using a condom doesn't make things planned, it makes things responsible. I would say that waiting until you're married makes things more planned than a condom would seeing as how yoiu've been waiting your entire relationship for the moment. You need to get out of your mindset and put health first...it is more important. good luck
