BCPs fertilty concernsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 28 May 2003 15:45:11 -0500 (CDT)
I have some questions that i really need help with. I'm 21 years old and just recently lost my virginity, I wanted to start taking the pill but i have heard that in some cases when you take the pill for a certain period of time it may increase difficulty when you want to get pregnant, or become sterile. Is this true? WHat are the statistics on these facts? I really want to take the pills mainly cause I don't want to have a baby now, and well i have an irregular period.. The month I lost my virginity (april) i didn't get my period which had me freaked out for about three weeks, then it came in may on the very day one month later that i lost my virginity. Is this normal? what is the best form of birth control? Also when one is on the pill can you have sex w/o a condom, and not get pregnant? Please help me out A.S.A.P! Thank you!
