Assuming that your cycles are fairly regular (every 28 days) then you would probably ovulate some time between day 12 and day 16. If you period lasted about 5 days and you had intercourse 7 days after that, that would be day 12. What this means is that it is likely that you were at your most fertile when you had intercourse. And there are many sperm present in pre-ejaculate fluid. Once you ovulate, it is less likely that you will become pregnant but unless you're tracking your ovulation with ovulations kits and by taking your temperature every day you really don't know for sure when that has happened. It is always safer to use protection and avoid the possibility of pregnancy (and STDs) unless you are trying to conceive. I hope this helps some.
