i work at a nursing home and i am a C.N.A and i was required to have a T.B shot. The R.N gave it to me at work. And told me to come let him check it in three days. It became a big red circle and is swollen. It dosent hurt. When i went back to work on the third day, their was another nurse working and he looked at it w/ a measuring tape and told me it went too deep in the skin and told me he had to redo the shot. Well it is past the third day of the second shot, and the second shot is a big red swollen circle also. He said it was okay. But i have two big blotches on my arm. It dosen't seem normal. I don't want to spend the money to go to the doctor unless i need to. So advice would be good. Also like most people when i started elementry school i had one too. Is the t.b shot a once in a lifetime shot? And is all of this normal and what do you think is going on if it is not normal.
