could post-coital bleeding be drug side-effect?

I am a 38 yo female that has experienced mild bleeding during sex but only sporadically. I have always just assumed this indicates I have a somewhat friable cervix since the bleeding stops almost immediately after intercourse. I had my last exam and pap a month ago, and everything was fine. Recently, it seems like the bleeding occurs every time, despite the position or intensity of intercourse. Could this be a result of a prescription medication I've recently been prescribed? I am taking Diflunisal for chronic back pain and one of the side-effects listed for the drug is increased bruising or bleeding after a cut. Could this be causing the abnormal bleeding and, if so, can I assume that it will stop shortly after I discontinue the medication? There is no pain during intercourse and no other symptoms that would indicate vaginitis (no itching or discharge). I'm not especially concerned (at this point) that this bleeding represents a serious health problem, but it's inconvenient and embarassing. Thanks in advance for any information.
