Roxana: The same thing happened to me, although I was unaware of it at the time. I was spotting and figured it would resolved itself with the next menses. My next period lasted only a couple of days and then the spotting resumed, only now it was more profuse and had an odor. I actually started to believe I had some form of cancer and made an appointment with my doctor. I remember sitting in the waiting room, preparing myself for the bad news. While the doctor was examining me, he said, "Well, here is your problem," as he pulled out a tampon. I was mortified and relieved at the same time. I kiddingly asked him not to record this in my 'permanent file' to which he quipped, "Don't worry about it, I've had to remove far worse in this office."
