I jsut wanted to add some more info, Unless you have oral warts/herpes a throat culture will not be good enough to determine whether you have an std. Another suggestion, if you're still in touch with the gyu you had your first encounter with, maybe call him and ask him if he's healthy. If you're uncomfy with that, then just go to the doctor.
