Oh my god! That is terrible! Okay, well considering that you're not supposed to leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours and you left it in for a month, yes i would assume you are at risk for an infection!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See your doctor immediately!!! This means that all the discharge and everything that flows out of there normally, has been kept inside of you and has not been able to cleanse properly. Did you only have sex that one time, or have you had sex other times while it was in? Wouldn't you have felt it? If you had unprotected sex, the tampon would have absorbed the sperm and that could still be there too, altho it probably died, but still that's kinda icky. Call your doctor immediately, and try to remember next time. good luck!
