hi! What about going to see your doctor without your mom and having your gp take a look to see if things are okay. If not he/she will refer you to a gyno. This way you don't need to tell your mom. Don't be scared about going to the gyno, it's really nothing, and it's easier than worrying that something may be wrong! You could explain to your mom that you're not sexually active, i'm sure she'd understand. You may have a yeast infection or BV, which aren't sexually transmitted and which can come from hormone changes, being on medicine or even just from getting your period. You dont' need to go to a gyno for a yaest infection, a doctor can help you diagnose it and can even give you a pill called Diflucan to treat it instead of creams and stuff. If it's just insterting the tampons that's painful, try using Playtex Slim fits. They're really skinny and probably won't hurt as much.

Best of luck to you,
