After the first month my periods stopped completely. Around the time of my 2nd Depo shot i started to have problems bleeding after sex, (about twice in 5 times). My doctor advised that i have a Pap Smear. That came back saying i had abnormal cells and i was referred to a gynocoloist for a biopsly and coloplsy. The pathology results for the test did not conclude cancerous or precancerous cells only definate inflammation in the cervix. Have been advised to repeat this test in 6 months, but i feel i do not want to wait it out and see what happens. I have read things that suggest that the bleeding is caused by the abnormal cells and not the depo Provera injection. Because Depo Provera stopped my Ovalation completely, i have also stopped producing estrogen and that is making my uterus weak and prone to bleeding. Can i take estrogen tablets to strengthen the uterus and stop the bleeding? I dont want to stop depo as i feel the bleeding will only get worse and my impression is depo isnt the problem? whats going on?
