Cutting it out yourself is only setting a breeding ground for infection and then you will have bigger problems. You should see a gyno once a year anyway for a check up so you may as well get over your fear. What's gonna happen when/if you decide to have a baby? You gotta go to a doctor like that eventually, they aren't pleasant but it's a part of life. As for the growth you have, it sounds like an infected hair follicle, they tend to resemble boils but don't neccessarily hurt unless messed with. I'm not a doc though so you're better off talking with one - and yes they're probably gonna want to look at it. Call your regular family doctor - they'll be able to help you - and you'll probably be able to keep your panties on...
