Although I'm not a doctor, I don't think dizziness when you get up is a sign of being close to your first menstrual period. Dizziness when getting up can be due to getting up too quickly or low blood pressure, for example. I don't believe fatigue would be a factor (could be if she was already menstruating and became anemic). Perhaps she has been fighting off a virus.

I would give the pediatrician a call and see what he/she says.
