Okay, so I'm 18 years old and my mother has been hounding me to go to the gyno. And I've read up on pelvic exams and talked to my older sister... yet all of this serious makes me sick to even think about. I'm not sexually active, and I have to intentions of becoming so. Nor is my period abnormal. While I understand why I should go... I can't bring myself to even make an appointment. And thinking about it literally makes me sick. Something about someone touching me in anyway in such a private place makes me feel violated and very uncomfortable. I've also heard from many people... that parts of the pelvic exam can be very painful. I don't know how to losen up about this, or even if I'm worrying for a good cause... Is this normal feelings, or am I crazy???
