Breakthrough BleedingFrom: Lauren (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 10 Apr 2003 02:59:53 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I have been on the birth control pill for about 3 or 4 years now. I was switched about 6 months ago to Ovcon 35. I haven't had any problems on the pill since I started, I was on Loestrin 1/20 before Ovcon. On Sunday I started having breakthrough bleeding. I don't know what's wrong. I take my pill on time every day, around 10p or 11p. I have never missed a pill or taken one later than 11:30. I am on the last row of active pills. I have been having light bleeding and spotting since Sunday April 6th. It started right after I had sex with my boyfriend. I am scared and don't know whats wrong. I have recently been switched to midnight shift at my job, and my sleep schedule has been pretty messed up. I was almost done with a 5 night strech when this started, could this be a factor? Should I take my pill at a different time since I am working midnight shift now? Thanks for your help
