penetration can go through underwear and possibly jeans if enough occurs. You aren't really safe unless you have birth control or he wears a condom... not even the "pull out" method works. In fact i think people that believe they are safe with that need to wise up. My guess - if its just spotting and enough to see it - then you are pregnant. Take a home pregnancy test with in the next few days. Especially if you don't start.
