I also have had a kidney transplant and have had it since I was 5. It's been 13 years now. Anyways, I'm 18 and have never been on birth control pills, but my nephrologist did suggest it because I was having lots of problems with my periods and anemia. I'm guessing that since she suggested it, that it would be ok but I would definately still talk to your nephrologist.
