Karlat,

I'm going to start right off the bat saying I am in NO WAY in the medical field. What I'm going to tell you is from personal experience only.

When my husband and I set the date for our wedding, it didn't hit me until it was almost here that I was scheduled for my period at the time of our honeymoon. Obviously I didn't want to be on my period then!!!

I was told that it was extremely unadvisable. But I didn't know what else to do and it was too late to change the date. So, I did what you are thinking about doing. I skipped my placebos and went straight to the new month.

Nothing bad happened. I skipped my period and went into my next month, same as normal. I told my ob/gyn and she said it should be okay since it was only the one time. But she didn't want me to do it again.

I'm not saying you should or shouldn't do it. I'm just telling you my experience. Enjoy your vacation, whatever you decide to do!

Sandy
