yeast infection caused by sex??, periods not regular cased by....???From: sarah (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Mar 2003 20:47:21 -0600 (CST)
I am 19 years old and taking Kariva(genaric brand Miricette) when my boyfriend and i were together and having sex i was very sensitive to getting yeast infections.. so i always took showers and cleaned up after i had sex to prevent getting one everytime we had intercourse. Unfortunatly, i would still get them.. it seemed that everymonth i would be fine the first week of the month, get a yeast infection and then get my period. Since we broke up i have not had a yeast infection but i still end up on my period almost all month except the first week... when i first started the pill i was on my period the entire month and then the next three months i was fine and the past three months have been really bad. sometimes it would be caused by not taking it on time.. but im talking like 3 hours late.. not a day or two. My doctor(nurse practitioner actually) doesnt seem to think there is anything wrong with this but it is annoying and i am conscerned it might be something more. I dont even know for sure if it is a yeast infection.. but im pretty sure it is.
