I am 19 years old and have been on the Depo-Provera shot for two years. Just recently, I have been experiencing my first problems with the shot. For the last 3 months I have been menstruating. I have visited my physician about this, and she can not find a reason. Just a few days ago, I was up to get my next depo. I got it, thinking that the bleeding would cease like it had before. The bleeding continued, and is much worse after sex and orgasm. Most of the time the menstruation is like a normal period, however sometimes it is brown and light. I would just like to know why my body will not stop menstruating after being OK on the shot for two years. And also, if any of this other information sounds abnormal.
