Dr Geller, Re: Endemetriosis, treatment and hormone levelsFrom: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 14 Mar 2003 14:45:48 -0600 (CST)
Thanks for your reply. I don't think I asked the question clearly enough. I have seen 2 GP's and 1 gynourologist about the bleeding. They have all told me that there is not anything they can do to stop the bleeding that would not lessen the effectiveness of my upcoming laperoscopy. It is only 2 weeks away so I can accept that. Without Depo Provera I am in too much pain but with it I have emotional problems. Given that I feel good right now, this seems to be an ideal state for me (4 months off of Depo, with it partially worn off). The problem is that it is unmanipulated and therefore temporary; Depo will wear off more with time and the pain will return, making it no longer ideal. Could a blood test at this time measuring my hormone levels be used to try to manipulate my body to be like this all of the time? Thanks, Amanda
