Even on the pill I was never told this about amoxicillin, but I have read it. Never had a problem with it myself. There are other antibiotics though you need to be even more careful with.

As far as I can see these warnings are only for oral type contraception and cannot find any literature that antibiotics lower the effectiveness of depo provera. Even checked in the warnings of the prescribing information(PDR) there is no mention of this. I think you are safe.
