For the last three years I have been on Depo. In Dec. 2002 I switched to Ortho Evra. On the 14 day of being on Ortho Evra I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp pain in my lower abdomin. This lasted about 20 min and went away. As the day want on I felt brused in my lower abdomin where the pain had been. I went to a doctor that night, he said that it was probubly nothing and sent me home. Two days later it happened again so I called my obgyn and was directed to go to the hospital. He checked me for infections and sent me home with pain killers and had me come back two days later for an ultusound. The ultrasound didn't show anything unusual. Five days later the pain happened again. This time I let it go. On the 14th day of my next cycle the pain happened again. They ran blood tests and x-rays and found nothing. We decided to give it another two months to see if it went away. This month on the 12 day the pain came back twice this time. What concerns me is that my family has multiple births in both twins and triplets. Every multiple birth has been from multiple eggs. As I understand on Ortho Evra I shouldn't be ovulating although the doctor thinks that this may be whats happening to me. During the week of this pain my body produces more mucus than usual and my sex drive goes up. I wanted to know if you have any new ideas that I can bring up with my obgyn at my next appointment.
