Switching from Ortho-Cyclen to Sprintec

I have been on Ortho-Cyclen for almost two years and have experienced no problems. Last month I switched to the generic Sprintec and now my period is about a week late. I am going to take a pregnancy test. My question is - Is there any difference in effectiveness between the two? Will it take a month or so for my body to adjust to the Sprintec? Thanks for your help.
