Big Question

My periods are always right on time. I have severe cramps during my period. Usually Tynol helps this problem. But my problem and concern is my midcycle spotting. I used to be normal until I gained 40 pounds. When I started working out and losing my weight, I noticed my spotting. Ever since then, I have spotted for three years. I did lose the weight, but gained some back. The spotting is always right when I predict it, and lasts for a week. It is very strechable (wet) and the blood looks washed out. Maybe once I saw a blood clot. But I never felt pain. I do however feel a pushing feeling, like a bearing down feel. That hasn't happend in a long time though. I went to planned parenthood a year ago and said my tests were fine. However, she scared me and said that she noticed a little bleeding at my cervix, and thought it was a sexually transmitted diease. However, it was not because I was not having sex then. (and they didn't say anything about it when I called to see the results) I do have a real doctors appointment in March. But I am scared she may tell me bad news. I do have sex now, and never felt any pain. I am not on any birth control but considering the patch. Would this help my problem? My fiance who is a medical student suggested that it could be a hormone problem. what is your suggestion?
