Would an understanding dr. Please help me?!?!?!From: Alyssa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 26 Jan 2003 23:10:27 -0600 (CST)
I have been having Chronic Pelvic Pain for a year and a couple of months now. I have had a Laparoscopy to rule out lesions, adhesions, endometriosis, cysts, tumors, you name it. None of the above were found. My dr. told me it could possibly be menstrual cramps, only all month long. I took pain medicine that did nothing but mask it and knock me out. I could not even attend classes. Then he suggested that it was psychological. I had a psychological screening. Nothing was found, except the fact that it is not psychological. Then he said there was nothing he could do. I've been in severe pain for 3 days, on my right side. It couldn't be appendicitis, because It hurts severely, and I can feel a lumpy thing, but it doesn't hurt when I release the pressure. I haven't been vomiting, and no diarrhea. Just severe pain that on a scale of 1-10 with ten being the worst pain I could imagine, it's a 10. Pain medicine isn't working, and I can't afford to go to the doc right now. I need a hymenectomy, so therefore I'm not sexually active, because my hymen isn't perforated. My periods are regular, and not very heavy, and not due for another 3 weeks. I'm in severe pain. Please advise me on what I can do, and what it could possibly be. Many thanks in advance! ~Alyssa~
