bacterial vaginosis problem!!From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 22 Jan 2003 10:56:46 -0600 (CST)
About 2 weeks ago i went to a clinic to get tested because I noticed a few bumps on my outer labia and I was itchy down there. The doctor said that the bumps were caused by shaving, and diagnosed me with bacterial vaginosis, that was the cause of my itching and my discharge felt cold and smelt bad. I took the gel for 5 nights and it seemed that everything was fine. after 5 nights I stopped treatment and had sex. A condom was not used for only about 2 minutes. Now I am experiencing itching on my inner labia and another spot in my "crack". Also my disharge does not smell but it is damp and cold, before all this happened i remember it being very warm. was it possible that when i had sex with my boyfriend i got it again? or do you think it was misadiagnosed, after all she did not do any herpes or HPV testing? I heard that they can cause itching and bumps on your labia. Also do gynecology clinics do pap smears or should I just go to my physician? Thanks so Much!
