Yes, I would say that this is CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). I have it in both hands because I type alot, and I do Needlepoint and I do latch hook rugs. All the doctor will tell you to do is get a wrist brace (drugstores for under $10.00) but make sure it doesn't have a thumb spiker (a brace attached that goes on your thumb and covers it completely). I would suggest the rubbery foam braces, because they're more comfortable. If you go to the doctor, you don't have to tell them about the vibrator, because typing alone can cause it. Anything that requires reptitive motion with your hands can cause it. They'll also tell you to wear the brace constantly for appx. 2 weeks, and then only at night, or when you type or whatever. If it comes back, do the same thing again. My doctor told me that I didn't need to come back and see him unless it began to feel like I had my hand/arm in a bucket of ice water when I do simple things like talk on the phone, take notes in class, etc.

Good Luck! ~Alyssa~
