DO NOT force yourself into whatever - believe me, once you really WANT to have sex, you'll find a way and WON'T get turned off. :-) Be aware that your hymen might cover the better part of the entrance to your vagina, but if you are menstruating, there definitely is an opening.

Again, if you get tense, maybe you are not ready yet, or maybe the boyfriend ought to put in a lot more of an effeort foreplay-wise.
